Help means voluntarily lending our hand to a person in need, without showing any sort of difference in our eyes.
Mother Teresa: God doesn't look at how much we do, but with how much love we do it.
We confine ourselves with a small circle of family and friends in rendering our help. Well what about others?
A parent finds out the needs of their children n their beloved parents and tries to satisfy them. If most of us just concentrate on this circle alone, then what about the other people.
I used to blame the nature for its merciless act of destroying the mankind through flood, earthquakes, tsunami,…but when giving a deep thought towards it I get to see it through 2 perspective as.,
Is it our mother nation’s anger shown on us seeing all the heartless activities going on all over?
Or
Is she trying out to bring the attitude to care and help others, whom we don’t know?
We all would remember the day when the whole world was shook by the Gujarat’s earthquake. How many thousands lost their lives, relation, loved ones, hope, and home? Many kind hearted people helped them by giving cash, clothes and food. Relief funds were collected from all over the world. Is it that we need to give up our hand only at situations like this? There are people still struggling for a day’s meal. We still don’t stop our square meal or luxurious life even after hearing this. I am not saying to stop our square meal but be aware that there are people who have not tasted it yet and think about what can be done to them.
How many of us are aware of the number of orphanages that are available in Chennai alone and the numbers of people whose lives are still a question mark. What fault alone they have made to struggle so badly. What good deed alone we have made to enjoy life with the maximum possible comforts.
One question all should ask themselves is that, “Are we really behaving like humans”.
I would define a human as one who is capable to think, help, take care, love and merciful. All are humans by birth but the deeds of us also have to count as a human.
Mother Teresa: There is hunger for ordinary bread, and there is hunger for love, for kindness, for thoughtfulness, and this is the great poverty that makes people suffer so much.
Leo Buscaglia: Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
Are all our parents (since I am not earning my own bread now I am mentioning about them here) helping continuously the people in need through money, food or clothes…must be once in a year some (not all) would visit the orphanages and help to their level or at times of natural calamity they would have contributed. It is so because some feel that it’s difficult to run the family itself and wherein to help others, some would have not yet thought about this aspect, some would not have the heart itself to give.
The attitude to help people should be grown right from the childhood. The child should learn how difficult it is to get food and should get to know about how many other people who are suffering for this. This awareness should be spooned with the food. And this would certainly make the child to have the heart to help when attained a position to earn his/her own bread.
BOTTOM LINE:
Let’s not wait for the nature to direct us to help. Lets do it till our life time.
Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe: Let everyone sweep in front of his own door and the whole world will be clean.
Albert Schweitzer: In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit

ReplyDeleteHow many times have you seen people dying on the streets? How many road accidents have you witnessed. Have you ever bothered to help them? If yes, then good! You are a great kid! If no, why bother preaching something to others when u cannot put it in practice? Do you mean others should help you whe you are in need or something else?
